If the nation’s long history of product recalls and corporate screw-ups is any indication, General Motors Co. will survive the burgeoning ignition switch controversy already blamed for a dozen deaths.

The Detroit News

I feel extremely sorry for all the families who have lost loved ones.

As a GM customer, it's very upsetting the way this was swept under the rug/handled. As we all know today's automotive market is extremely competitive and once a customer is lost they're very hard to win back.

Toyota has fought their own battle recently in a similar arena, hopefully GM can keep their current/win new customers and continue on a positive path.

Since we're on a key-switch conversation, I wiggled the key in my Vette's switch when she was warming up for a scoot last weekend and she shut off, tried it a 2nd/3rd time and she kept running.

Not really happy...
