Now that all my pre-trip maintenance tasks have been performed, I decided to take a good long ride out of town and put my foot into it. "Honest, officer, this really is part of the pre-trip inspection". :naughty:
Anyway, the point of this post is to casually mention that I wasn't kidding about the increase in horsepower and responsiveness after extracting the choke plate.
While driving along at 50 mph in 4th, I decided to punch it hard. When those huge rear tires break loose and the tail end goes sideways, in 4th, it's a very weird feeling. :eek Fortunately, I had another gear to shift into to settle me down a bit. :gap
Bowling Green? Oh yeah...........I'm ready.

Mark, I was telling my wife about the line you fed those rather round "ladies" in Kentucky outside the Greasy Arches when they offered to help you with your map. Not too often you see a woman who is broader than she is tall. I just wonder how they got that way with so few teeth? :ugh
