Gettin GASSED!
Two at the front, and in place of your lockbar.. I have a LONG gas strut on the drivers side.88-96 I think.
The trick....
Have a buddy come over & help on this.
( that might be a trick on it's own )
To replace the two smaller gas struts
remove the lock bar ( or large strut ) while your bud supports the hood, that will give you the extra 1/2 " you need to line up the 2 smaller ones.Remove the 2 Kwik pins slide the old ones out,lube the mounting pins where the strut goes, reinstall..bada bing.
Now replace the big strut now, this just POP's off
(or re attach the lock bar)
You are done.
My hood lifts like a dream now.
I think I paid 96 ish for all 3 struts ( local autoparts store...Pepboys should have em )
