You don't have to be good to get an '05 Corvette to 130mph... :L

(Just messing around with you both) :cool

I'd like to think so.I just had to see what she could do so
I let all the traffic on 71SOUTH get out of site and then I ripped the road a new one.Scarrey but exciting.I caught up to the traffic before I could catch my breath.wooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

You shouldn't really be surprised that not many others have complained about this as the speed limit in most states is 65 mph. Most of the peeps in this forum are old fogies; ;LOL and probably drive at the posted limit. I know I'm going to get a lot of crap for that last remark:W and I was kind of kidding; but really most people don't drive above 75 mph on a regular basis. In fact I bet most don't drive above 55mph. :chuckle I'm an exception but I have the Z51 option and love the feed back I get. :lou

Looky-here sonny, back when I went to high school, I had to walk 5 miles in the dead of the winter one way, and if I feel like obeying the speed limit posted, then that just makes me more old than you...ah...I mean...what was I saying??:ugh

These young whipper-snappers think that they're first in daring things...:chuckle:L;LOL:rotfl

jk....no, seriously..you and me, any freeway....;LOL:beer...no ,fooled you again. jk!

p.s. That mountain pass run we did after the Gorge visit during Cruise Fest 4 had a bunch of old dudes/dudets that were flying past by young ones like myself. I heard claims of 100+ MPH from all the way in the back of the pack...:lol

THAT was a blast!!! :_rock
No one passed me, but I was surprised that some of the people were actually driving as fast as they were! I was like, "Damn, he's gonna force me to pass him at 135+ mph!" ;LOL

Seemed like 130 was about the threshold that most people maintained. Guess there's some stigma about going faster than that. ;shrug
But that's fine. We don't want people exceeding their own comfort levels. :cool

That stuff about a little vibration above 85 MPH being "normal" for a Corvette is, to use the old Bert Reynolds phrase, "ca ca". My C6 and lots of others I know about are smooth as silk at 120+. For crying out loud, GM makes a big deal out of the cars being capable of 180+. They will not engineer a car to have vibrations at 85 mph and turn around and advertise that it is capable of 180+. Something is wrong if you (or any C6 owner) has even small vibrations above 85 mph. Anyone who has such a problem should insist that the dealer take the steps outlined by C4C5Specialist in prior posts on this thread. :beer
