Solved the problem as you said Jack, Ground off the hex head and machined a screwdriver slot in the bolt flange that was left on a Bridgeport , installed the bolt hand snug then used an impact screwdriver to snug it up. Slight amount of grinding on the backside of the water inlet to clear the bolt and it seats fine. GMPP rep never called the GM dealer back with a resolution. GM parts guys have been very good trying to get GMPP to react but nothing. Really stupid GMPP customer relations to pi$$ a customer off over something so minor.
