my friend has this cabin up state N.Y. and its a nice 3hr drive from where i live,A PERFECT trip for a vette,HOWEVER,,,he has this long and narrow gravel driveway with grass and weeds(about 2ft high),in the center.do you think i can damage anything, undercarrage, airdam, things like that??my vette is a bit of a garage queen and she really needs a good run.but i will leave her home and take the suv if need be......:puke thanks..........

I would be a little concerned about setting the grass and brush on fire with the exhaust... or getting high-centered if the middle of the drive is higher than the sides. 2 feet is pretty tall! Gravel isn't a problem though, at low speeds.

I would take something else, or you might regret the trip altogether.

Take the car, burn the grass, and wipe off the green stains from the front bumper. Enjoy the car.

sorbet02,

If in doubt take the SUV. Look things over while you're up there and determine if you can realistically get the vette up the road. If yes - take it up next time.

Remo:cool

I agree with Remo and the rest
Better safe then sorry

thanks everyone for the input....... looks like the santa fe is going to make this trip, i can just pretend im in the vette;LOL

It can't be much worse then the road to 67HEAVEN's cabin and my Vette survived that when it was lowered to the max ;LOL

That's the standard joke with my kid up at my friends cabin ... "next time let's bring the Vette"!

The C-5 can hardly make the turn into my nice safe suburban driveway with only a 1" cobble stone "lip" and that scrape bar takes the impact (a very slight upgrade) ... and I mean slight.

How many hard boiled eggs can you eat coolhandluke?

Hope all has been well with you and yours.

Bill

Park on the pavement and hike in!

I go way out of the way to stay off gravel, I HATE GRAVEL! There is not too many left around.....
