Just proof that drugs use ran rampent in the 60's huh?

They should have left it in storage!!! Not something I would have done with it. Those seats!

A different kind of survivor! I am amazed he has kept it like that for so long.

Although I don't care for the customization I can appreciate the fact this was a really cool car when it was done. When I was growing up one of our neighbors had a Camaro, about a '70, with a similar paint style, rear flares, wheely bars and a Blown 427. I thought that car was So Cool :cool

A Survivor Indeed

I too am supprized it survived intact and for the era in which it was built it is a good example of custom show cars. You don't get featured in Hot Rod for nothing. Replace the interior, lose the graphics and the blower and it would be a show stopper today.

i agree. while very bizarre by today's standards, back in the 60's (remember beatle haircuts and bell bottoms, etc were the rage, not to mention psychodelia and let's not forget the ever popular tie dye, LMAO!!). glitter and free form paint was very popular.

that was definitely the kind of show car that would appear at things like the world of wheels shows, etc at the time. i guarantee that it took home a lot of trophies in it's time.

It's period correct.. and represents how a custom vette looked back in the late 60's. With that said.... :puke :ugh I would NEVER!

I guess I don't understand the concept of taking a convertible and molding on a hard top. :confused

the seats remind me of a chair in a ethnic resturant!
someone, somewhere, at sometime, thought this was the coolest thing on the road....and im sure there is someone else today who will see it and say"SWEET!"....it reminds me of the kind of paint job i recall seeing on Nordic jetboats back in the late 70's.

It's gotta look OK in the dark. . . and perhaps with a blown 427 all you can see in the daylight is a blur. It would be the perfect car for Duckman - "what the hell are YOU staring at!"

I do recall several Vettes like that. Does anyone remeber a movie called Corvette Summer? I watched that being filmed in here in Vegas when I was 17. That was a UGLY one too.

I OWN that movie! It is one ugly Corvette.

I think it's great!

I think it's great to see something other than all those "PC" Corvettes that seem to be around these days. I wish I had the means and creativity to try something like that. What a blast that must have been to drive.

Survivor customs deserve the same respect as the NCRS type cars do.
