Hi I need help with my highbeam switch... I turned it on while i was driving and then i tried turning it off again by pulling the switch.... but instead i heard a loud snap and now the switch on the column moves freely backwards and foward... i dont know what happened can anyone tell me if its expensive to fix or if i need to replace the whole thing... im scared i just got it..

Is this a tilt tele column?

You can get these parts new from many of the Corvette companies.

Contact Paragon at 800-882-4688

You will need some steering column tools to get her open and look around. Once you are in, changing that is not all that bad. The worst part is you ahve to snake the wires through the entire column very slow and carefull.

This could cost up to $175 for a pro to do it for you, and as low as $10 if you pick up a used switch and slap it in there.

You can access the high beam swith pretty easy on the 77. The switch itself is located down by the point where the support bolts to the underside of the dash. There are a few bolts that hold it in, if you need a picture let me know, I have a few colums floating around that I can use to illustrate. Hopefully you just messed up the switch and not the level, 77's used a unique switch that is getting hard to find.

Thanks,
Derek
