Just a quickie prior to the season's 'Vette action starting ! Is there such a thing as a female connector plug - to match that on the body of the horn where the factory loom connects to the horns - on a '93? Reason I ask is that the horns fitted as stock don't really sound with the "authority" one would expect of a 'Vette , so swopping out the stockers for a more manly set is being considered . The thing is , I don't want to permanently alter the wiring to spade connectors ,just want to make up a couple of adaptor pigtails to give me the option to return them to stock if desired . Any ideas , folks ?

Connectors

Seeing no one has answered so far, sounds like your horns have spade connectors based on your statement. You can buy both male and female spade connectors at almost any hardware store in a couple of different sizes. Find the right ones, put them on your pigtail and put some shrinkwrap or black tape on the connector to seal it and you should be good-to-go. Just a thought.

hcbph....

the horns fitted now are the stockers ,all replacemnt horns seem to have spade terminals on 'em . I s'pose I could cut the stock plugs off and re-solder them if required in the future , to accommodate the stock horns again if originality ever became an issue to me . That would just leave a couple of not very obvious shrink-wrapped inline splices , it's just that if I could get the correct plugs I could leave no trace of my damnfool meddling !!
