Although I have carefully cleaned the windshield inside and out, a section of the HUD display is smudged. Anyone have a recommended method for cleaning the HUD glass?

Being the obsessive/compulsive personality that I am, that was one of the first concerns I thought of when I first saw the new HUD - how on earth would I keep it clean? :L

Sorry, can't help you. :(

I have been using the engine cleaning nozzle on my air hose (long handle 90degree tip) turning the pressure down to 60 psi and a soft artist brush to loosen the dust. seems to work well. For any stuburn smudge you might try a pre moistened glass towel. Haven't needed that yet but it seems like it would work.

Try some compressed air and a soft brush like recommended by Tootall but use only a mild soap and water to clean the smudges. Alot of chemicals will permanently damage the plastic cover on the HUD.

Thanks for the advice. I've corrected the problem with a bit of glass cleaner on the end of a rag, wrapped around my finger. Worked fine. The problem was likely caused by the dirty end of a rag falling in the HUD opening when I was cleaning the dash with leather cleaner.
