Took Heaven for a cruise this morning. The temperature was cool and crisp, and you could see the exhaust billowing out of the sidetubes.

I'll have to get a photo of that.

The temp is heading up to 15 Celsius this weekend. More miles and more smiles.

I got a surprise "thumbs up" today from a Toyota Prius Hybrid driver. I figured if anyone would think I was crazy, it would be a hybrid driver. Just goes to show, you never know.

That's just the thing, the Prius owner meant to give you a thumbs down, but was so blown away he forgot to turn it upside down No, I think it is just an impulse to smile and wave or give a or whatever it may be. Brain sees 67Heaven and just stops dead in its thinking tracks of all logic.

OK. About 36F when I stored last week and took this pic and headed for the last journey of 2005. Looks like -4C (26F) tonight but my 1967 is in winter heaven: constant 55-60F and dry until April.

What a spectacular day for a cruise. This old car just loves the cool fall air. I love the fall colours and bright sunshine.

I put on another 100 miles, first to visit Fuelie, and then to take the Mrs. to a neighbouring village for afternoon coffee and desserts.

Lots of thumbs up along the way. I may never park this thing.

no:nono ... double it (15+15 = 30) subtract 10% (30*.10= 3)(30-3=27) then add 32 (freezing point of H2O) voila 59 degrees(Fahrenheit)! Which incidentally is the temperature that is considered a standard day. Have a nice day

That's a bit much for this old brain as I'm driving down the highway.

Double 15 = 30 + 30 = 60. So I'm off by a degree.

Rule of thumb is that you get a 1% power increase for every 10*F reduction in intake air temperature.

my Z really comes alive with the colder air....but then the traction also starts to disappear at the same time.....so there is no free ride!!!!

My '59 (2 x 4's) ALWAYS runs a little stronger in the cold air. I can actually feel a difference, even on a hot day, from when the car is first started to when it's up to operating temp. Guess that's why cold air inductiohn was invented.
