I need opinions on a mini mask

What's up folks, I am thinking of buying a mini mask for the front end of my ride. It's a white vet 84. I want some opinions onthe mask good and bad. I think personally it will look good, but I have yet to really see one in person and I might be wrong. I hate spending good money on bad ideas. Let me know what you guys think of it? :confused

It will rub the paint and leave a scar that's very difficult to remove if at all possible.

It isn't the mask itself that causes the abrasions, it's the dirt and dust that gets stuck under the mask, eventually it builds up and rubs the paint. The mask looks really sharp, but you have to remove and clean it every time you wash the car. It's kind of a hassle.

Ya but it just looks so damn :cool I just never take it off I know the paint won't survive but it's Ok with me.

If you go to remove it all the straps that hold it on would have to be untied. It seems like there are four or five across the bottom. I didn't like the way the supplied velcro attached the sides so I modified mine a bit. Took the top screw out of the inner fender well, wrapped the velcro "band" around the fender and reattached the fender well. Now its pulled up tight around the side marker light and is really secure.

Flaps in the wind after awhile. Killls the paint.

I bought one, still new in box. But never used it. Maybe if I take a long trip I will.

Thanks, for the critizism. I needed tohear others opinions. I have heard about the paint, but I don't think it will be that bad, besides I don't think I willbe taking it off much except to wash the car and I can clean it then.

If (when) it gets wet be sure to drop it down to dry or the dye can bleed out into the paint. Should you get caught in the rain on the freeway the speed will dry it, but if you are parked, or in stop and go, and it sits in the sun to dry a color change is likely. This lesson was driven home on a silver Vette I owned, when I removed the mask to wax the car the area underneath was tinted a swamp water green..yuck! Fortunately the Arizona sun bleached it back out and after three weeks or so it looked fine again..whew! And no, it would not buff out...much easier to drop it down. FWIW, I always use one on road trips, fresh tar, and what Arizona DOT calls "chip seal" is a messy surprise.
