I was on my way home Friday night from watching some baseball action in the afternoon. At about 7pm I was stopped at a stoplight about 15 minutes from my home.

A lady in a 2001 Lexus LX300 decided to use the rear of my Corvette to stop her vehicle. I guess her brakes were not working or maybe she was trying to save the brake pads a little.

Well, what a surprise to me when she slammed into the rear of my Vette at about 25-30 miles per hour!

Spent all of Friday night and some of Saturday morning in the emergency room getting all kinds of tests done.

Need to go back and get some more done on Monday.

I am not feeling too good. Hope they locate the cause of my pain.

Paramedics were really cool. Can't say the same about the Des Plaines Police personnel. I guess they were having a worse day than me!

WHILE STOPPED AT A STOPLIGHT, BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR REAR VIEW MIRRORS FOR RUNAWAY SUVs!

THE :w WILL NOT BE SAVED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE!

Hope you feel better, and hope your Vette feels better too!

Get well soon!

I hope everything comes back together for you real soon. :w

WOW! I hope you don't have any permanent damage to your back/neck! I also hope your vette can be repaired!

Take care, Greg and I hope you're feeling better soon!

LT4man,
I feel for ya, had a similar incident about two years ago. Hope that your recovery doesn't take as long as mine did, 22 months before I started to feel better. Get well soon and keep us posted on the ride.

Yikes! You didn't spill your beer, did ya'?

Hope all's okay with ya' tho'... 0mph - 30mph in zero can do some damage - I know all about it. Tuesday was 3 years since my head-on with a drinker, 110 combined, 55 - 0 in zero, him dead, me hobblin' for life. Nothin' like a little lesson in G-forces huh? I'll take 0 - 30 all day any day yup.

How's everything now?

I guess that'll teach you about mindin' your own business, when the guy behind you is textin'... Shame on you! :eyerole Serves you right.

It amazes me that people won't move for texters. He mighta' been on a hook up on dial-a-porn, and you're blockin' him. No respect. No respect at all. Tsk, tsk, tsk. :eyerole

jk; hope it's ok there ...

we are pulling for you greg!!!!
how much damage to the vette????
I hope the cops at least gave her a ticket for something!!!!!!!
meanwhile we WILL be saving your wave!!!!!:w:w:w

Wow, That's horrible. Hope everything is ok and everything work's out for ya! Keep posting. Bob :thumb

For those of you who have not met LT4Man or seen his car. LT4Man is one of the nicest people you would ever hope to meet and his willingness to share his knowledge of our cars is a treasure. I am holding my breath and waiting for an update on your injuries LT4 Man.

As for the car it also was a jewel. As a dailey driver for LT4Man it was not a diamond in the rough. It was a car that stood out amongst all the other Corvettes around it.

I will be praying that your pain is not a serouis injuray and that your car can be brought back to it's orginal condition.

PM me if I can be of help.

Greg- the car can be repaired. You, however, are irreplaceable.

Get well soon my friend!:thumb

I hope you are feeling better soon. I hope the vette isn't damaged too badly. Pain meds are not necessarily a bad thing.

Damn Greg, that sucks. I hope the doc is able to get you sorted out.

I'll do what I can to help the wave while your on the mend my friend.

That sucks the big one Gregory! Hopefully they will find the source of the pain. How bad is the Vette? Hope you can get that fixed as well. Keep us posted.
