MAF-question

Hi!
What happens if you disconnect the MAF from the system i the MAF is working? My engine stops running.

The engine will run like crap if it does stay running..

The car will run with the Maf unplugged. You may need to coax it a bit, but it will run. Did your SES light come on immediately after you unplug it?

I dont know if the SES light cone on because the enging stops right away.

Scan it for a code. It MIGHT have left a code before it dies.

I would get a fuel pressure gauge and do testing before going any further.

I tried that on my son's 96 LT1 and the engine died INSTANTLY.
