Good morning CAC.I had a reply to contact VETTE CLUBS in the area, well I found 2 real close to last known location of the car.Vintage Vettes in Ozark,MO and Tri Lakes in Branson,MO.I talked to both club presidents. Both were really moved at what I was trying to do,Dan and Patty were going to spread the word at there next club meeting, were talking 70-90 member in each club.I tell ya,the fraternity of VETTE lovers is strong.May lead some where maybe not.We will see.

Well Ribbit, it's something to go on. Hopefully you'll find a clue or a lead. Please keep us posted.

I live in the opposite end of the state from where you came from, southwest Kansas. West of Garden City. I have two daughters that live in the KC area and we visit often.

That's a lot of members in those 2 clubs. Many have without a doubt been involved with Corvettes in the area for a long time. Someone should know the car.

Thanks Tom,I sent a e-mail to both club presidents this morn.So far no word back.Dan,pres at Tri Lakes out of Branson MO, told me he had a member that was like a blood hound on finding barn finds. In the mean time, still digging, not going to let it die.Hopefully update #3 is around the corner.

Hey 6 SHOOTER,you really know how kick a man when his down. That is the finest 57 I have ever seen.Is this your car,if so how long have you had it and where did you find it.As you know I have been in hot pursuit for about 3 months trying to find my 57,with very little to go on.I do know where it was sold,at our resort in Kimberling City,MO,went to a little spot in the road Lampie,MO.That is the last location that I know where the car was.The time frame was around 1970-1971,so I am dealing with a time capsule with no computers back then for records.Dad bought the car in 67 from Corvette City in KC,MO,had it till 70-71.Please get back to me on this I see you are in the Ozarks as well. Thanks for the pick.Oh , this pic,the nose crest is gone,it was not on mine as well, the front and back were gone. But do get back to me if you would,Thanks.JD

Thanks 6 Shooter for the get back,I have to tell you for a while I kind of thought is this mine, but you pretty much eliminated that possibility,oh well the search goes on.I read the article and all the pics were first class,no dought this 57 is TOP DRAWER.If I found mine this pretty much what I would do,paint job is fine.Again thanks, any help in your area would be appreciated.I will keep evertbody updated when I have positive ID,when and where that ever happens.:w

Damn nice looking aurtomobile for sure. . . . . . 1957 classic

This might be the first Corvette I can remember as a kid, the neighbor had one.
