Hello CAC.
I wish that I was joining under better circumstances (see my post in the C3 Tech forum) but I wanted to introduce myself.
I'm Greg and I have a 1975 Stingray with the L-48 and automatic. My wife inherited it when her father passed away. They purchased the car together as a bonding thing and did a lot of the work on it together.
It has a lot of issues as it was a daily driver for many years and probably has 200,000 or more miles on it (odometer stopped working a long time ago)
I found this site when I was trying to find the source of the brake issue i described in the C3 tech forum. I have had a hard time finding a good C3 forum with good info so I am hoping to learn and share here.
We've had a few Corvettes in the family so both my wife and I have been around them almost all our lives. My dad had a '68 and has a '78 SA L-82/4spd currently. My wife had a '93 40th Anniversary until we sold it when we moved to Houston (just not enough room).

I look forward to being active here, with a working car hopefully soon :)

Sorry for the way you had to get the car, same logic behind me buying a "63, something for my oldest daughter to do with me. Comforting to know the memory lives on.

Concerning your speedo/odometer, made friends with a guy down in Jupiter, FL named Bill Harrison, did a great job on the tach/speedo/odo/trip issues on my "63, came back looking much better than expected and extremely fair concerning charges. He enjoys doing this stuff. Retired police officer and I think his daily driver is a 66 vert, just dropped a new crate engine it. His website is http://www.harrisonspeedometer.com/ you can tell him Andy in Houston, Mississippi sent you.

Wish you and your family the best, keep making memories.

Andy

Thanks for the support. I'll look into Bill when it comes time to fix that. So far the odo is the only thing busted and I have bigger fish to fry with this vette :)

Welcome to the CAC, Greg, and good luck with that brake issue.

Tammy,

Just a quick note:hijack off the subject here; I see you are showing your 99 sold, did you find a yellow Z or what? Just caught my eye, has this been recent or have I been out of touch?

Sorry about the interruption here,

Bill :w

Bill- no yellow Z unfortunately. Just sold the 99 to be fiscally reponsible ;)
Just happened a few weeks ago.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled introduction thread :)
