Ok here's the problem I've got about $1800 left in the budget at this time and I'm looking for some more power. I would like any ideas about what else I can do to my 350 to get the power up to were I'll be happy for a couple years a least. I'm pretty sure I'll be putting nitrous on my soon to be beast because I can get good deals on it from someone that actually knows what he's talking about. I basically want to have the best performing car I can get for the street. Here's what I've got already minus some trany work:

350 CID BORED AND STROKE INDEXED TO 357 CID
SPEED PRO HYPEREUTECTIC PISTONS
PLASMA MOLY PISTON RINGS
CRANE PERFORMANCE CAMSHAFT (454 LIFT, 248 DURATION INTAKE, 244 DURATION EXHAUST
EDELBROCK PERFORMER INTAKE
625 CARTER SUPERSERIES CARBURETOR
ADVANCE CURVE KIT IN DISTRIBUTOR
MELLING HIGH VOLUME OIL PUMP
SEALED POWER 1.5 RATION ROCKER ARMS
1.94 1.88 INTAKE AND EXHAUST STAINLESS STEEL VALVES
PORT MATCHED HEAD TO INTAKE AND EXHAUST
K&N HIGH FLOW AIR FILTER
FLOWTECH HEADERS
BILSTIEN PERFORMANCE GAS SHOCKS- ALL FOUR CORNERS
STAINLESS STEEL BRAKE CALIPERS
COMPOSITE REAR SPRINGS

I would have put roller rockers on as well. One thing I didn't see on your list on goodies is the exhuast system. If the motor can't breath it's not going to run with the big dogs. Good 2 1/2 inch pipes all the way from the headers to the back or maybe the Hooker Headers and 4 inch side pipes. The hooker system looks and sound GOOD:dance They cost around $1000 US, a bit spendy compared to the 2 1/2inch system.

Let us know how it goes.

Sorry forgot to mention that. I've fot Flowtech Headers with 2 1/2 inch pipe running to the super turbo mufflers. It is true dual exhaust with no cats. Any sugguestions on rear gears, I've had my fun going stupid fast now I think I want to launch off the line spinning them tires, and that stock rear gears just aren't cutting it.

If you just want tire smokin and not that worried about the top speed thing, I'd try and locate a set of 4.10's, but 3.73 are easier to find for the vette.

You could always go with a turbo charger or a 144 street blower. You can find them for around $2000 and adds close to a 100hp. I have seen some of these used on Ebay for less. Just a thought.

I would like a bit of speed top end but I think the 3.73 would work good. Any idea's on what the cost to max out the cubic inches on the motor would be. Is the max I can get 383 cubic inches or can it be done more?

If you bore it 0.060-over, instead of 0.030-over, you'd have a 388. That's pretty much the maximum with a 350-block, unless you want to spend a lot of money on custom stroker cranks to increase the stroke.

You could switch it out for a 400-block (same external dimensions) and build a 406 (400-block with a 0.030 overbore). You'd have the same stroke as the 383, but with 4.155" bore instead of 4.030" bore).

Hey I'm a little interested in 1/4 mile times for the mods I have done right now. Anybody want to take a quess on what I'd be running. Would it be possible to get this car into the 12sec 1/4mile time if I swapped out the gears to something like 3.73??
