I have two choices (because thats the color powders I have).....

I am powder painting the frame semi gloss black...big question is what should I paint the axle housing? I have silver and then can go over it with clear (or not) or I can have it powder coated semi gloss black.....the 4 link bars and panhard bar I already had powder coated silver with clear over them....

so what color should I powder coat the axle housing?

looking for opinions.....my wife said that the 4 link bars looked so good, that they looked like motorcycle parts...also painted the front suspension pieces the same, silver with clear over the top.....comments?????

What color are you painting the under side of the car.

Boy I remember the troubles I had with trying to figure out what color to paint what
The car will be close to Torch Red with white coves...including the underside and the engine compartment......the frame semi gloss BLACK....the front A-arms and such are SIlver/clear and the rear 4 links as well as the panhard bar are silver/clear.......

I'd go with the silver so as not to break up the theme.

agreed...that is what we are going to do.....had a near miss today....picked up the frame from Amherst Classic Car where they sand blasted it for me and took it to the Powder coating facility.....found out that the frame was TOO LONG and no way to easily powder coat it....YIKES!!!!

But I got a call from one of the guys that I work with and he had been testing some equipment at a customer that has a complete pretreatment line as well as a powder coating line big enough to coat light poles.

My friend called the owner of the company and asked for a favor....they are going to put it on the line tomorrow afternoon, wash it, phosphate coat it and then powder coat.....will get it back tomorrow night.......whew,......saved.....oh, did I mention "no charge"........

silver it is.......

thanks everyone....when I get it home and can get some time to take some photos, I will post them......seems like a long time coming.....
