Peter, I was doing a bit of readingat the Heartbeat Corvette site and was wondering if your friend is going to be able to get that car or if you had any more info about it??

That is an interesting site you have there

(btw - the red car and silver car near the botton of pg 1 belong to myself and 90 Callaway - taken at Corvettes @ Carlisle in 2002 )

Hello Chris,

Thankx for the attention, i didn't know dutch is also a language you know! But as you can see the Callaway here in Holland is already a long story (topic begins at 16 april '03) and Mario actually saw / took the pic's on 7 november '03, so making contact isn't that easy..

He smashed his vette about 1 week ago and it's on the edge of total or not. So he first has to find out what to do with his moded vette (already has coils on it) and then what vette he like's to buy if this one is total...
On our forum there are only a handfull of guys that are crazy about the callaway's and know there true potentual and exclusive they are.
It's very nice to have this forum here (with all the Callaway owners) to get lots of info in a very short time, and put it on our forum. But for now i think there will be no update's before '04.
If there is, the topic you found is the first where it will be posted, and within a few houres here! Mario know's the owner and i know Mario that's where i get my info :cool

John and his girlfriend are luckely oke!
But the vette is the question, he has spend very much money on that thing to make it faster, lighter and give it a differend look. They tought the chassis was bend a little but they don't know yet.. I also don't know if he wants to drive a vette that was almost totaled... I woudn't especialy over the 130 mph...

On the other side John's goal was to have a very light vette no luxuery and just hp/torque. If i remember correctly Reeves goal was to improve (sorry he had an other word for it on discovery ) the vette without losing the luxuery for PS steering / Airco etc etc. So that doesn't corresponde all to well.
Also the question of his insurence was oke (last year the insurencecompany where most vette's are insured raised the tax between 180 and 240% :eek )
After that a friend of mine totaled his ZR1 (Jeal tuned) without a good insurence.... So i don't know what his plans are but i'll hear next week, maybe he'll post it here...
He was just trying to make carbonfibers front and rear bumpers for c4's, so this isn't a good moment for an exident (never is...)

Mario didn't get the change to get the VIN on the Callaway, i thought he wanted to go back for some things. The owner wanted to start the Callaway to show Mario but couldn't find the keys... The callaway didn't run for over 2 year's so i think it isn't a good idea to start this engine without some preporation... But we'll see when there is some contact, me digi camera is ready for action!
