Just pulled the vet out of storage today, and after it was on a charger for a while it started up. As its idleing, it will die, almost like someone is cutting the power out to it... its not bogging down or anything like that.

Any ideas?

With it starting and running, then quiting, but starting back up, could this still be a battery problem...

The other winter wear seems to be the power steering pump.... not sure if it is just the seal or if i need a whole new one.. the more fluid i put into it, the more of a mess i have to clean off the garage floor..

This sounds like the problem that I am having with mine currently, I've had the battery checked twice and am currently having the alternator rebuilt. I'll let you know if it makes it run better.

How old was the gas?

Did it go bad and gum up the works?

thats something i was wondering and am going to check this weekend... it was put in though when the car was put away, and it was high octane... you never know with the gas companies today though

The cold this winter caused my power steering fluid reservoir ring clamp to loosen due to shrinkage of the part. It was leaking fluid that was not there at storage. Just had to be tightened up. My battery froze after the parasitic drain killed it and had to be replaced. Did the two MAF relays while I was in there. Next winter the battery is coming out as now I know how easy it is to remove the body panel to slide the battery out. RJS:bu
