Found a local source for 9/16 x 8 grade 8 bolts
It's your local friendly CAT (Caterpillar) parts department.
$3.84 each
The guy thought it was funny I was buying parts for the Vette there.

Thanks to fl_rider, I just picked up the bolts from Caterpillar. In case someone needs it, their p/n is 9H-9129 @ $3.65 ea. If you want the Nylok nut its p/n 034-9954 @$.67 ea.

The bolts and nuts are both black in color, they are not the same thread (9/16 x 18) as the Vette calls for, so order the nut to match. They're coarse thread 9/16x12, the 9/16x18 is only available up to 6 inches long.

I've go what sounds like the same rear ride heigt issue and I want to check I've understood which bolts it isthat need to be replaced. Could you take a look at the attached pic and tell me if these are the bolts you mean.

Incidentally, mine are 6 1/4" and the ride height is >1" too high for my liking. Are the 8" bolts going to fix that?

The link bolt in the photo is the stock part; the longer aftermarket bolts will reduce the ride height by the difference in effective length compared to the stock bolts.
