Maybe some can answer a question. Were all c3's built with rear sway bars. I went to a corvette show today and a 75, a 73 were without, but a 78 had one. The reason I ask is. my 74 came without one.
Help?
Thanks in advance

sway Bar

Can't answer that question, but big blocks in the early 70's came with a rear sway bar. My 71LT1 had none, but it was easy to add one. Muddywaters

I believe the FE7 option (Gymkhana Suspension) Sharks came with the rear bar and a little bigger front one ;) There are other subtle difference's too with the FE7 cars ;)

I have always heard the big blocks came with them. I have an '81 with gymkana suspension that does not have it, so all I am doing here is adding to the confusion. God bless, Sensei

My 77 L-48 had one but it was only about 3/8" diameter. Not hardly worth having. Now I have a 7/8" one.

My 74 BB came with the above as well... and I also switched to VBP 7/8" with Poly bushings.

If you have the opportunity, upgrade front and back... what a difference!!!

With a small block do not use any sway bar unless you have at least a 1 1/8 front. It WILL cause oversteer at highway speed that is dangerous. Trust me.
Lotsa research and info on this out there.

Thanks for the info

I really appreciate all the input.

Mine has a 1 1/8" front and a 7/8" rear sway bars.

I don't think I have a rear sway bar. In fact, I'm almost 100% positive that I don't. I do have a front one though...
