My clamshell has been getting harder to open lately. Specifically on the drivers side, there is a kink in the cable. I couldn't straighten it so I need to replace them. Has anyone done this themself? Specifically I'm trying to avoid buying the part from GM. I hate the stealership with a passion. I was praying someone knows of an aftermarket company that makes them, or if anyone has rigged something together (I was thinking like a bicycle brake cable?)
