Anyone have a good reference for how to run the plug wires on a 65 300hp SB? (Yeah I know - from the distributor to the plugs) I am putting in the channels that pass the wires down and along the oil pan. It looks to me like they go in the space between the block and the motor mount for cylinders 1 and 3 / 2 and 4. Also the clips that pick up one of the bolts on the oil pan - which bolt? Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Geek, the rubber insulators that go in the two holders on each side going from the top of the motor to the bottom have the numbered routing molded right in. As for the clip on the block on each side I can't remember exactly where that clip goes. If memory serves me right I got the location from looking at one of the vendor parts book... Dave..

The clips on the pan rail bolts go on the bolt on each side closest to the lowest point of the "boomerang" shields.

Wires to cylinders 5 & 7 shouldn't run beside each other. They can cause a weird crossfire at high rpm if you do. Put them on the outside of the looms used to support the wires going to left side spark plugs.

Thanks Ron. I can see myself chasing my tail for months looking for that gremlin.
