This past weekend, we came to a stretch of highway with ruts and sudden depressions. The car, '84 Vette, lurched to left or to right, as the depressions dictated, moving as much as two feet. Quite a ride! Especially when passing a semi and she decided to lurch toward the thing. I had travelled the same road in a SUV and in a generic sedan, with no such moving around. The car has only 60,000 miles and I detect no looseness in any front end components. At first, I attributed it to the stiffness of the suspension. But thinking about it, I wondered if a steering stabilizer would help? Any ideas?
