In my attempt to adjust the TPS, I acidently broke one of the torx head screws used to anchor the TPS switch in palce. I had another TPS that also came with a different type of screw (non torx) upon installtion of both I have apparently stripped the thread within within both TPS mounting holes. Is it possible to repair the threads with a tap and die set or must I buy a new throttle body plate?

Yes- there are severals ways to fix this. It really depends on how "correct" you want to go.

You can epoxy studs into the stripped out provisions and then use a nut on the outside. $

You can use thread repair material because you don't need a lot of torque on those screws. $$

Or buy a new throttle body. $$$

Good luck!

You could also buy a couple of slightly oversized self-tapping screws from your local hardware store.
