'62 Nova with IRS. Like a Vette with a back seat.
I mistakenly posted this question on the C1 - C2 forum. Can anyone tell me the width and depth measurements of a 68 - 82 rear sway bar? How wide from end to end? And depth would be like standing it up with the two ends on the floor, how far from the center of the bar to the floor?
Thanks,
Jack

Jack, I have an old sway bar that I can measure for you if needed. Hopefully I can rememeber. I'm leaving for North Carolina in the morning. How come you need the measurements?

I humorously call my 1962 Nova a Corvette with a back seat. Weighs about 3100 pounds and has a lot of mods including independent rear suspension from Heidt's. It has no rear sway bar, and I want to put in a 7/16 bar which is the size from the 68-82 Corvettes. They are available on ebay. But I need to know if it will fit between the hubs, which are Corvette. The sellers seem to be unwilling to get out a tape measure and let me know the dimensions. So I am asking for the kindness of strangers. Thanx.

These are approximate numbers on a OEM rear sway bar for a late 70's vette.

45 3/4'' wide
10 3/4'' deep

I have a custom ADDCO Rear Sway Bar installed

PICS are of an OEM original sway bar.

Thanks so much to Vette79!
