thermostat replacement

Considering replacing stock thermostat with 175 degree thermosat. Has anyone done this and was it worth 70 bucks? Any special procedures nedded to install? Thanks for any comments

Did it on my 2000 HT... Didn't notice much difference in performance. Add it and you be the judge.

I had mine done last week while they were changing my coolant. Put a 160 degree stat in and turned the fans on at about 180. As soon as the weather gets warm my car starts pinging. No pinging.
