Tinted Roof panel appear to be flaking and peeling

Restoration of acrylic top due to peeling

My acrylic roof top panel is flaking/peeling on the exterior side. Each time I wash the car ,the roof flakes more and the flakes partally wash off.

What can I do to fix this problem? Can I used a chemical to clean the roof. Can I buff the roof with my buffer? Can I polish the roof?

How do I restore this roof panel without sending it out to a shop. I am hopeful that I can do it at home.:duh

C4 Roof Panel Replacement

Thanks for the roof panel replacement link, BTDOG. Mine has a small crack in it, and eventually I will need to replace it. the price at the site at the link is the best I've seen.
