Vette struck by lightning

Still doing just fine :thumb:thumb:thumb

What Not Driving It

We had 6" of snow here yesterday and the wife and I went out with the vette because it had better tires on it than my G6.:v:boogie

It is not any better here in the Eastern Panhandle either. Although we have made some progress, instead of the WVDoT guys riding two to a new Homeland Security pick up, they now ride one to a Homeland Security pick up. It is really difficult to get morning coffee or gas at the local 7-11 because of all of the pick ups. I suppose that they are pondering roadway conditions.

Weather forecast is for a couple days of, not warm but warmer weather that should melt the snow enough for me to get back on the road again.... I'll let you know how it goes as soon as I can get her out.

My vette is in a garage behind a 3 ft deep snow drift. Roads were snow and ice covered until today. Now the streets have a salty sandy snow slush mix. :cry

Sunday the roads we're clean and it was so cold that the snow wasn't melting so off I went .Put about 30 miles on it and the day ended with a smile on my face :D

That's about how it's been here for the last three weeks....

But it is going to get up to about 40 today and the roads should be clear by tomorrow, if so.....:D:D:D:D:thumb

It isn't the snow that keeps my corvette off the road. The real problem here is the salt on the roads. I really don't want that up inside the frame, don't think you would ever get it out.
Last month the insurance got dropped to comprehensive coverage till spring. It only costs me about $8 a month. Can't kick on a $34 a month savings. Almost 4 months,,,, lets see what can I get for the vet with over $100.:D

Yeah, the salt is the worst byproduct of snow on the roads.

They have cut way back here in Maine on sand and salt .The sand they do use is screened so it's fairly fine .If it's cold and windy for a couple days the sand and salt are pretty much gone .

I always taste the road befor I drive on it ;LOL

Our roads are white pretty much all winter. Not always with snow either. The second there is a little fog or mist you have sticky salt.

You won’t believe how dirty the roads are here in the winter, in combination with the hated salt many cars here have studded tires tearing up road particles, together with the salt it's hard to even see the color on the car after a few days driving to and from office.

The Corvette stays in the Garage until April or May, but then…:lou:lou:lou

Your roads must be almost as chewed up as ours here in West Virginia then. I've never seen roads as bad as these here.
