After months of diligently posting (SAVE THE :w!) and waving at every cotton picking gosh darn Vette I passed on the road, I have the following announcement to make to ALL my friends here at the CAC.

Two days ago, two (2) C6s WAVED to me. In the past, I did not really get any reactions from any C6s I saw. With these two WAVING vigorously to me, I can now officially say:

"The WAVE has been officially SAVED!"

This is a very bittersweet day and time for me, LT4man. With our "WAVE" being SAVED, I feel my work here at CAC has finally reached its logical, albeit sad conclusion.

I want to thank all my friends here at CAC (you know who you are!) that helped and supported my efforts in this herculean task. YOU were successful and for that I am truly grateful.

I know there were some bumps and potholes along the way: after all, I do most of my driving in the metro area known as the Windy City (Chicago to you newbies :)!). If Goodyear did not make the F1 GS D3, where would I be? :D What a smokin' fabulous tire, that is! (Commercial endorsement paid for by Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., USA, North America)

Just so my loyal supporters know: I will continue to exercise my left hand (when appropriate and safe!) in waving to ALL other Vettes I encounter on the busy roads of life. I encourage all of you to do the same. :thumb

I want to thank the CAC for being the vehicle which has made our SAVE the :w! campaign so unbelieveably successful. :upthumbs

May God bless each and every one of YOU!

And keep on SAVING that GOSH DARN :w!!!

Always Wave

............... :w.....................

Maybe cuz I'm in the Detroit area, but I'd say about 90% of Vette owners wave, regardless of model.

Greg...

YOU DA MAN!!!!!!:boogie:boogie:boogie

while enjoying your moment of Glory....don't forget to...:w

Way to go Gregory! :thumb

:w :w :w :w :w

NICE WORK LT4man!!!!!

And good work everyone!

I noticed that since I got my Vette and started waving to everyone in NJ... Now I cannot get my hand up fast enough, and they wave first!:L

SHORT STORY:
Yesterday at cruise night, I stopped in and drove through town a few times. Every Vette I saw waved to me, or when I waved, they waved back! I even had a dark blue C6 flash his lights at me because it was too dark to see the wave!

SAVE THE WAVE!

I was in my 08 and was waved at constantly by hoards of Corvettes at Vettes On The Rockies last weekend, so Gregory, your campaign has been successful here in the west. Of course I waved back, didn't want to be identified as one of those C6 owners who doesn't return the wave. But then again, I've been waving since 1960, so it is a habit that I cannot break. I even wave when I am not in my corvettes. I keep a corvette hat in my other vehicles in case I see a vette parked and and the owner is around. I tell them about the CAC. So I salute you on your effort to save the wave. Now, can you start a campaign to save the economy? This will be Herculean.

I appreciate the effort, and agree that part of the thrill of driving my corvette is running into others.

I am so frustrated here in northern IN, because half of the corvettes I come across do not wave. It has gotten so bad, that I am hesitant wave because I know they aren't going to wave back. I wave anyways, but half the time am left hanging.

So I think from now on, when I see a vette, and they do not acknowledge, I'm turning around:lou

Wow, guys! Thanks for the condiments! Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk........:beer

I think I will pass on the economy for now. That problem seems to be really getting out of hand!

Just keep WAVIN'!

My father thanks you, my mother thanks you, my brother thanks you! :thumb

I'm starting to see more Corvette waves when Im in the coupe as well even some "drivin up tpo give a personal head nod and goose the throttle as I do the same with a head nod and goose the throttle side by side

the wave is saved ! :w

What a beautiful Vette you have! Did you do any work to the internal engine parts?

Just the other day, I had a C6 go out of his way to :w at me! What a thrill! :beer

Seems to me like more and more Vette owners are finally catching on. Thanks to you for all your efforts! :thumb

AFTER SAVING THE :w, PLEASE CONTINUE TO SAVE THE :w!

Thanks for that compliment

Boy, your '84 is something else! What a great looking Vette!

Now, on to the Wave!

I passed by a C6 today going in the opposite direction. The fella actually put his entire arm out his window to Wave at me! I am so pumped!

I will just continue to do what I have been doing for years!

WHILE PASSING OTHER VETTES, DON'T FORGET TO SAVE THE :w!

Here in new york sometimes i get the wave and sometimes i don't. Kind of discouraging. But, i wave happily weather or not i get the wave.

i never thought i would admit this ..but..i was a closet non-waver...
it was purely unintentional..it just seemed to happen over and over again..i dont know if i was weak or just didnt care...but thanks to this 12 step wave program i now wave without fear...with reckless abandon as it were...
i wave at homeless people..even Ferrari's....i seem to be out of control...waving at police cars.....and fire trucks......street vendors..and sometimes just ....people...wow..
whats this about?
its almost like im...being....friendly.....wow.....
