I have got my frame stripped and ready for blasting and coating, and was just curious If anyone has any suggestions on anything I should do to it before I get it coated, as far as mods/improvements go?

I have seen people gusset the front and weld the seams, but my welder friend says that welding should be kept to a minimum on the frame to preserve it's temper. He also said not to weld the seams because it makes the frame too rigid, and under load it is more likley to snap the weld, as opposed to flexing.

Anyways, I want to the car to handle to the best of it's ability, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

the frame isn't tempered, the stock welds are crappy. Frame flexing will break welds. a stiff frame makes the suspension more efficient, that's where the forces should be absorbed, not by a flexing frame.
