I've read a lot of the detailing threads and searched as well.

Haven't been able to figure out the recommended tool for washing.

Should I use a sponge or cotton wash cloth.

Thanks in advance for your help.

:)

P.S. Drove my youngest to school the other day. Her friends went nuts. It was very cool.

100% cotton USA made towel only. Nothing less will do! :D Make sure it is USA made. No foreign subs.

No sponges please!

Thanks Kopbet.

The towels are USA and ready to go!

I agree 100%. I always used a sponge, but after a detailing seminar with the detailing dude i will only use a towel. The sponge traps dirt and then you grind it against your paint. With a towel you can move to a different spot of the towel when doing different parts of the car. This way if their is dirt you dont spread it.

Good luck washing

Thanks Craig. Frankly, I'd never given it too much thought before. You know, drag out the hose, wash it down with a sponge...

But after reading some of the posts here by the Detailing Dude I realize I've been torturing the paint on my poor cars for years.

My cars--especially the Vette--will now see the softer side of me.
