What type of jobs do Z06 owners have

Yet another darn engineer! LOL.

I'm a flight test engineer for Boeing on the C-17 cargo aircraft. We are based at Edwards Air Force Base in sunny California. This is the place where Chuck Yeager broke the speed of sound. These days the flight test pilots have 2.5 kids, a house, and drive minivans. It's up to us engineers to be the wild ones.

But right now I'm fixing UH-60s in Iraq and will go back to the flight test job in a couple of months. I'm getting real good at safety wiring things.

I had the chance to see the space shuttle land at Edwards. Also got to see the B-2 bomber (the wing) when it was being tested at Edwards. I had to round up a guest speaker for our dining-in. I found out from one of the pilots at Edwards that Chuck was living in Northern Cali. So I gave him a call and he agreed to come down. We took the CG's UH-60 and flew up and picked him and his wife up and flew them back to Fort Irwin. He even got some stick time. Cool guy and even though he spent all of his life in fix winged aircraft he flew the 60 like he had been trained for it. I had him sign both of my books he wrote.

Cool. Chuck Yeager is the MAN. He still makes appearances at the yearly airshow in October at Edwards.

You are correct about the roads. Lots of open, flat, and straight roads in that area. I avoid Rt 138 (aka, "Death Highway"). Too many fatal high-speed head-on collisions. They really need to widen that road and put in a median.

Willow Springs Raceway is in nearby Rosamond. Lots of good racing there.

I wish lol! Anyway, I had trouble with getting my sig. to post awhile back. As you may already know, go to the user CP above and go to edit signiture. After you make a post, ensure to check off the "show your signature" box in the additional options below before you click submit reply. It should post below. The signature may not post if it is too long also Very interesting work you do, and I know my friend Heavy Duty was quite interested too. Birds of a feather.......................
I think it would be interesting looking around the world for common strands many miles apart. I'm sure migration and land masses on the constant move over time make it alot of fun and interesting. Sea Turtles are an interesting subject. I have a friend that works on Endeavor out of Woods Hole. Bob Ballard is coming for six months to do research. Bob will be emailing us to keep us up to date on what he is doing, along with the other scientists. A real joy for my kids, they are very fortunate to have access to him.

You should be able to add your sig by selecting the Miscellaneous Option "Show Your Signature" under the post box before you hit submit. The only way the system automatically shows your signature is if you select that as an option from your User CP.
