plain old bolts wont work (err, if i rember right) they have a bevel so they center the top as they are tightned up. My 87 has the front 2 stripped (the allen wrench part) so I ordered 2 new ones. Thye are not just plain old bolts.

As a person who used to work and make custom car covers (few years ago now). I wouldnt recomend them, reason being. No matter how well it fits, no matter how secure it will rub (wind etc). Take a nice soft polisher and run it in the same spot for 10 -15 minutes..... s rub spot will appear...
