Hi,
I am looking for some suggestions for my 1981 with a cinnibar interior. It still has the original white paint but I think I would like a change. I would love some suggestions.
thanks
Hi,
I was wondering if someone could tell me in very simple steps, how I can get heat to come out the top vents just for defrosting purposes. I have no need for any other functionality and do not wish to restore the entire system for anything other than defrosting. I can control the...
What NOT to use!!!
I just did this yesterday and it was one of the stupidest things I've done. I wanted the get the brake dust off of my front rims so I sprayed what I THOUGHT was brake cleaner on them, without looking at the label, I sprayed half a can of THROTTLE BODY CLEANER on them...
My '81 has silver panels. I never really noticed that they are a little long until mkapp7879 just mentioned it. But they fit fine with no clearance issues. They were already on it when I bought it.
I had 2 bad MC's last year and finally went to a different manufacturer. They were pumping fluid from my rear res. to my front res. causing it to overflow in the front and completely losing the rear brakes.
They are magnaflow mufflers. You can hear a sound bite at CC Exhaust under C3 magnaflow systems. I couldn't resist any more and drove it around the block yesterday. I was very happy with it. I don't know if it's my imagination but it really seems like there's alot more pep.
I just finished replacing my '81 exhaust today as a matter of fact with a complete Corvette Central system almost exactly the same and other than rerouting my tranny coolant lines it was a really good fit for my car. It sounds pretty good but not quite as deep and gutsy as I wanted. My car is...
exhaust is on....
I am now finished installing the exhaust. It is advertised as a "direct fit" system and it pretty much was. The only mods I had to make were removing the plug wire guards, rerouting the wires over top, rerouting the trans cooling lines (thanks) and I had to gring the end...
This may be a stupid question, but why do you have to move the crank to a certain positon to drop the oil pan? And what is the position (and how do I do that);shrug;shrug?
I have discovered that if you are planning on replacing your exhaust, you should NOT have the car undercoated!!! What a dirty mess.
I am in the process of replacing my "sort of" stock exhaust with a whole new system complete with headers that I bought from Corvette Central. It is supposed to...
Hi,
Does anyone have a diagram showing the various locations of all of the sensors and sending units on a 1981? Basically if anyone can tell me which units send signals to the gauges it would help alot. I have removed my A/C and A.I.R stuff and am putting a new exhaust on the car. In the...
Well, I successfully removed the AIR pump from my '81, but in the process of removing the top AIR bracket stud, I broke it off right at the block. I wouldn't care but this double as an intake manifold bolt. Am I in trouble or what? There is another bolt within about 1 1/2" of this one and...
I agree with you on the removal of the stock air cleaner as I have found many other warnings against replacing it. But I do want to remove as much unnecessary stuff (hoses and wires) as possible for no other reason than "it's my car and I want to" LOL. The first thing I NEED to do is replace...
