You probably are already aware, Chrisr, but just in case some people aren't: always be sure to follow a glaze with a wax or sealant as glaze doesn't offer much in the way of protection for your paint.
It is important to understand that 'waxes' and 'sealants' have the same use and really don't need to be combined.
A wax is typically a blend of natural waxes (often carnuba), polymers, oils and gloss agents. A sealant is a blend of man-made polymers, oils and gloss agents.
A glaze is used...
Here's an ad out of the local paper. I don't know the seller or the car and am only posting it here as an FYI for anyone who may be in the market for a used vette. Without seeing the condition of the car, and assuming the mileage is accurate, it seems like it could be pretty good deal.
If...
I put the chrome version on my triple black '89 convertible and it looks great...however, looking back on it i would have gotten the grand sport rims like you show above. as someone mentioned, i love the look of the polished lip accenting the black wheel on a black car.
Tires don't age well. He probably replaced them not because of tread wear but because of normal dry rot/hardening of the tires which happens with age.
Just a guess, though! Nice looking car. :)
Removing Birdcrap
I feel for you. A few weeks back, I was driving my well-polished daily driver to come out to the nastiest looking birdcrap attack a hood has ever seen. (Luckily this has never happened to my corvette!) One of the spots near the center totally etched into my clearcoat despite...
I've tried 3 different methods and I like 2 of them a lot better than the 3rd.
1. Mix zaino car wash with water in a spray bottle and spray it on a dry car, working approximately a 2 sq. foot section at a time. (I imagine any other car wash solution would work equally well, though.) That...
You got yourself a beauty, Aurora40. Great job with the detailing as well. Now if you could just get that little puddle of drool I noticed on the steering wheel you'd be all set... :beer
Wow...good information. I'll have to let my buddy know. He's about to get a set of grills for his C5 and was thinking of going the aftermarket route. Seems if the aftermarket grills are not stainless steel it'd be much better to go with OEM.

Yeah, an interesting twist to the poll would be:
How does your age influence your 427/7.0 L decision?
A. I am between 0-21 and I vote for 427
B. I am between 22-35 and I vote for 427
C. I am between 35-49 and I vote for 427
D. I am 50 or older and I vote for 427
E. I am between 0-21 and I...
Hah!!! I would vote for 1,420 teaspoons if it were an option...but since it's not I voted 427. :L
Technically speaking, isn't the engine a 428? (I know, 427 sounds cooler due to it's place in history...)

If it's the same type of sticker they put on my wifes Monte Carlo SS after she bought it new, try using a blow dryer set on 'hot'. The heat will loosen the adhesive and you should be able to peel it right off and then buff out the area it was on.
If it is stubborn, try using 3M Adhesive...
Man, what a jerk. Those wheels definately need to be refinished. By any chance did you pay him by check or credit card? If so, you could have the bank stop payment and bring the wheels back to him.
