Most certainly will. Congrats on your 03 Coupe. Hope you're enjoying every minute of it!:lou
I have some good leads right now on 2 more. Private sales maybe harder to track down but the prices sure are great! Definetely a buyers market.

Thanks for the offer ChrisR. A buddy of mine is also shopping so we split a Carfax for a month. I found 2 more that sold before I could get to look at them. But no problem. Like you said there are plenty out there.
I've been convinced to stay away from the 01 and look at 02. I'm going to look...
Thanks ChrisR. I ended up getting the Carfax run. Then the night before I go to look at the car the guy calls me and says forget it, it's gone. So my search moves on.
Congrats on your new ride :)

If anyone has one and wouldn't mind running this for me.
I'm looking at the car Sunday and all the picks I have from the guy look great. It was a weekend cruiser and babied from the looks of it.
VIN# 1G1YY12S115119138
Thanks in advance if you can help.

On the LT1. The back plug on the passenger side. I've tried that Sidewinder ratchet before. Cheap construction. Broke it in short order. It's also big and not easy to maneuver in tight places like that. I tried a Gear Ratchet set I bought at Sears for about $30. The head, extension, and socket...
Like c4cruiser said. Look at Reese Hitches. I just ordered a Reese Shadow Hitch. Class II rating. Way over what I need for towing rating just to haul a tire trailer. But the Class I hitch is no longer available. The shadow hitch hides under the car. The receiver is a flat bar. Once you pull the...
Yep, like Car Whisperer said.
I forget the part number but I used the Fel-Pro Dry Seal on my92 factory magnesium covers. I got them at Pep Boys for about $30. They're some sort of rubber/silicon material. You clean and dry both surfaces. The gasket is made to stretch. Once you stretch it around...
Johnny.
Not yet. Still waiting for my daughter to bring me the developed pics so I can scan them. I'll post a link once I get some ready.
Chaos,
The silver Z06 rims look good on a blue car :cool
You don't get any problems rubbing in turns, lock to lock?
I was going to do 285/35 all around...
Johnny,
Yes only the 18's. My buddy bought 2 complete sets of early C5 wheels. He then had all 8 wheels stripped and black powder coated. He asked me if I wanted 4 of them. After some discussion he wanted the 17x9.5 wheels to mount stickies on for the track to stay legal in his class. So I took...
Early C5 wheels fit just fine on a C4. I now have 4 - 18x9.5 wheels off a 99 on my92 C4. I'm running 245/40-18 front and 285/35-18 rear. The rims were stripped and black powder coated. Look good on a red C4 and fit fine. I do believe you need spacers on the very early C4, like 84-87.

ydphtwl,
Hey there Ken. I'd like to talk to your buddy about getting a set of coilovers for my car. I'd be curious about the cost to get setup for autocrossing (Solo II) and street use. Being able to make adjustments to ride height, stiffness, and corner weight the car sounds interesting...
Re: Cold vs. not as hot
I've had the claw for a couple of years now. After a year I cut the shroud and made a filter plate to stop larger debris from coming up. They get a really good dose of fresh air. No water ingestion problems. Does change the exhaust note too. Even on the stock exhaust...
A freind has Carerra coilovers on his 95 coupe. He also added poly bushings and heim joints in places. The main use for the car is track. He drives it on the street and it is stiff and not very forgiving. I replaced the Bilsteins on mine after about 90K miles with the Bilstein Sport (Z51)...
275/40-17 is listed as 25.7" on the MX tires I have on my stock rims now. You can use 245/40-18, 265/35-18, 275/35-18. I haven't decided which size yet. This will be for street use and looks. But those 3 sizes are so close that if the speedo is off it can't be by much.
I won't get around to...
We measured the offset and it is pretty close. Put the rims on one side to see how they look. They are original 97-99 rims and have been black powder coated. I took the 4 18x9.5 rims and he is going to keep the 4 17x8.5 rims. So we split the set. Looks like I can get 285/35-18 and get the same...
I yanked the whole pumpkin because I started having problems about 18mo after the original gear swap. I did an exhange for a complete rebuilt pumpkin with new 3.54 gears, new bearings, posi clutch packs and side yolks. I have over 1,000 miles on it now and it is quiet and works like a charm. I...
They're all good :-)
I'm running my92 with A4 trans and FE1 suspension on street tires. My friend is running a 91 with 6sp and Z07 package on Hoosiers. His car is definetely better for autox (Solo II). It is stiffer, has bigger brakes, and the L98 with 6sp has some serious low end grunt...
A friend is willing to sell me some new rims dirt cheap. They are black powder coated rims for a 97-99. Non-directional, 17x8.5 front 18x9.5 rear. They are still in the orignal boxes.
Will these fit properly on my92 without spacers? Clearance? Etc?
I want to get new tires to put on them and...
In 89 they went to the 275/40-17 tire setup just like my92. Are the rims from an 89 able to be put on a 92?? Offset and all that ok? I have the base coupe.
Thanks, Graham
Well I got sick of listening to the gears whine. They got terribly noisey and something else must be wrong in there. So I bit the bullet and ordered a completely rebuilt unit from Ikerds. This unit comes with the Strange (US Gear) 3.54 set. At least this time the whole unit is built by someone...
