You are right! The center piece paint looks real good. I'm also glad the rest of the car turned out so good (I have been following the story). Good luck Monday.
I've ben taking my painted wheels off and scrubbing them since I bought the car. I too found the refridgerator brush a help between fits of anal retention. And I've also wondered about was getting the wheel painted the same color of the car (in my case pewter). I saw white wheels on an ad and...
I used a small pair of vise grips to pull the key out of mine. It clamped it good and a good steady pull did it. Becareful not to jerk it you my lose the rearview mirror.
I bought a divider about a year ago from MADVETS. Paid a bunch and was dissappointed with the fit. If you have a cargo mat the partition doesn't fit right (my own stupidity). It tends to flop around a bit but when in place it does cut the noise down. If I had it to do over again I would download...
I'm sorry that it happened and I have never heard of that happening before.
Was it cold out or the battery old? Sounds like some of the freaky stuff that can happen when the voltage is whacky.
Just a thought. ;shrug
I'm 51 and 6-5. I fit in my '99 hardtop just fine. It was harder to get in and out of the 94 coupe. My wife and I drove with the caravan to Bowling Green last year and the ride didn't get old at all. Keep looking for the right seat set-up and you'll be fine.
I take my wheels off to clean them and the wheel wells. I use my floor jack and jack stands. To get under the front I have to drive up on a couple of 2x6's and slide the floor jack under the cross member then place the jackstands on either side of the jack. In short, I do the fronts then the...
WTB set of front Goodyear run flats. My camber was out and I ate up the left front on my trip to Bowling Green for the 50th. I would like to keep them OEM same until all of them wear out.
looking at the posting I assume that you changed the tailights. Did you install the LED ones.. I've buqght a set and connot get them to work right. Or did you install the European type?
I bought the Z1,Z2,Z5,Z6,Z7,Z18 (claybar). I had some of the towels and I ripped them up into smaller pieces. The general purpose adhesive remover I bought at an auto paint store (10 bucks). The stuff all the stuff goes a long way and I've still got a bunch leftover. I did my wife's Golf first...
zaino
I know what you mean by saving the $$$$$. What I did was read everything I could on this site and I downloaded the application hints from zaino. What I ended up doing was washing- claybar- washing-general purpose adhesive remover-washing- then putting on the zaino. It took a couple of...
backup lights
Thanks for the links-- downloaded the picture and a trip underneath is in order. I don't have a warranty and the car has less than 7000 on it. I'm going to check and see if it is unplugged and if not I'll spring for the switch. Thanks again. :BOW
I little info from anybody out there. PLEASE.
I do not have working backup lights. The lights flash when the car locks but not while in reverse. I crawled underneath and looked for a plug but didn't find one. Does anyone have an idea on whats going on? ;shrug ;shrug
