Thanks for the tips! Based on research, staying with the 350 after all.
I figured the 202 heads would line up to my stock L83 350 block...Just an old nay-sayer mechanic neighbor said I was crazy and it would not work. lol
Soooo I've heard of people using the 383 with the Cross-fire (I will port/polish my extra CF manifold.)
Will the Crossfire manifold line up (bolt pattern, etc) with the 202 heads? Has anyone done this?
I may have access to a new crate 383 to transplant into the '82...and keep my...
WHOOT!!! Glad it worked out for you! Took me a few weeks on that one, glad to pass along the knowledge.
Now I have a intake manifold to replace...sigh.
Fix one thing and two other things break! :L

This has happened to me.... twice!
You have a '82 GM Vette Manual? I got one off Ebay and started trouble-shooting.
(I should of did this before as I replaced the fuel pump, relay, ECM, etc..., and pulling my hair how trying to figure it out. lol )
Discovered that by pulling out and...
Thanks for the input.
I'd like to keep the car stock with the Cross-Fire for now.
I have an extra polished manifold...just wondering if I should get it ported...and will the stock ECM know what to do with the extra air! :L
Looking into the Extrude Hone (abrasive media flow porting,) was...
Original intake manifold gave out after 29 years.
Bad News:
Cracks along the edges now are leaking anti-freeze and hot air. Sounds like a boiling tea pot along with a bad burnt smell of antifreeze. It's a mess as the anti freeze/gas vapor got into everything and needs cleaning out. (new...
The old power window motor works fine!
Found out that the motor needs to be grounded by the actual attachment to the whole door assembly to function.
Once the power window motor is unbolted and pulled out (but still plugged in to the wiring harness, ) all you have left is 2 hot wires, one...
Glad to hear it you found the problem. My fiancee actually replaced the transducer with me overlooking, as her hands are much smaller than mine.
1982 speedo is mechanical as well. Sorry for the confusion about the circuit board...I meant the circuit overlay that is attached to the back of...
2nd owner.
Bought her in May of 1986.
It's been a love/hate relationship ever since. :L
She just had her 29th birthday this last week as her build date was mid-June 1982!

Thanks for the info!
This is helpful as I'm replacing the weather stripping (along with the whole power window track/motor assembly at the same time) on the drivers door.
Wish me luck as I have everything torn down, cleaned etc, and now putting everything back.
;)

Did you check cable from the transducer to the speedo with a drill too? If the speed works, bad transducer. They are a challenge to replace but someone with small hands can assist.
Check the back of the speedo and make sure the cable is snapped all the way in.
If all is okay, then the...
Mystery solved!
The little circuit board was missing!
Apparently when I took the car in for a repair a few years ago, unknowing to me, the corvette shop removed (or lost...or forgot...) the light and circuit board, and left it out. They said they fixed the problem and I got the car back not...
The motor worked fine until I pulled it out. Now nothing. Grrrr.... The teeth were bad on the motor gear and also on the metal teeth for the track/regulator assembly. Bought a new regulator, track assembly, gear and spring, bushings etc. as the original parts all looked old, worn and rusty...
Thought I would solve it by replaced the old worn/torn circuit overlay on the back of the center cluster with a brand new one.
Still have the problem of the LOW FUEL light remaining on despite what the fuel gauge (which does works fine) indicates. I checked the float in the tank, looks ok...
She is running fine!
The cars now is repaired!
Following the diagnostic chart in the shop manual as suggested.
Under wrapped old black tape was a loose wire for smog testing (?) it had become unplugged with signs of repairs of splices. The connection was missing one side of the plug...
It's Fixed!
The cars now is repaired!
Following the diagnostic chart in the shop manual,
I came upon the (a) Oil pressure switch located on the back of the engine under the distributer. Pulled off the wire, blew off the plug and reconnected.
Under wrapped some old black tape was (b)...

Thanks for the feedback!
I need a long arm to turn the ignition while I'm at the back of the car. lol Unfortunately it's just me at home. Or can I just leave it in the "on" (not cranking) position for the pump to get juice?
Any recommendation of a good tester to purchase?
Been poking...
I'm thinking there is no power getting back there. The rear lights work. However found the spare tire courtesy light is not getting any juice by switching bulbs...and that wire leads to the main wire wrap as the fuel pump.
Only thing recently done was finding the wiper intermittent relay...
