100+ package Might soon be available!!!!!!!!!!

just curious, as far as power goes, how does the cars with just the vortex supercharger or maybe even another aftermarket supercharger compare to the calloways? I know there is no substitute for a calloway, its a pedigree along with quality but I was just curious on the power ratings or comparisons.

For a comparison, the same track / same conditions should exist...

The only time I saw two forced induction Vettes run side by side @ the same time, same track, it was a 1987 B2K Callaway -vs- a 1988 "B&M SuperVette"

Both cars were on street tires, both cars had straight exhaust - B&M SV had "true duals" while the B2K used the "semi-stock" megaphone exhaust, sans cats.

The Callaway ran a 12.7, B&M SuperVette ran a 12.8 :eek

This was back in the "early days" of efi forced induction, 1989 or 1990, if I recall :cool

I hope this helps :v :m

B&M SuperVette is all the way on the right:

Josh I do not know what the price of the unit is. I would say somewhere around $300 as it is done by the folks in Germany. Also Josh if you can let me know who else is interested in the 100+. There is power in numbers The more people I know that want the upgrade the more leverage I have in getting it to the table and off of the drawing board. We should know at Carlilse for surewhen it will be available . Keep the faith it will come. The folks at Callaway know how much I want this kit. Everytime I see them they always say Yes Pete YOU WANT THE 100+ KIT we will talk about it. It is alot of work to make that manifold . It is just getting the time to do it as it is very labor intensive. So we are making progress. Thanks Pete

Surf - I forwarded your friends name onto Callaway - If anyone else is seriously considering a 100+ package for their B2K, Please reply here and Callaway4Fun will add the name to the list - As he said, the more interest, the better the odds of taking this to the production table - It is a legendary package that is blessed by the Callaway power Gods :cool :v :beer

Im sure they know his name quite well up there. I guess Id better call him and let him know you signed him up :L

Surf, If it the gentleman in AK, w/ two 1988's, we discussed the 100+ extensively in Chicago this past November :cool

He mentioned this would be for the 1988 that has some "mod's" already ;)

Thats him....but he lives in Arkansas(AR) not Alaska(AK) :D Just kiddin man....its the same as the O vs A for us Callaway owners. Most people dont even know where Arkansas is :L :L :L

I believe his 88 with true duals, wonderbar, no mufflers made 406rwhp. It also has a Tommy Morrison balanced and blueprinted ZF6 in it. He said its the best shifting transmission he's ever driven. The car also has Aerobody and its a vert. A very nice b2k example.

Love it!

It will have the leather treatment and a roll bar soon as well as the 100+ Kit
Pete, your out of control & I love it. :crazy What year B2K's were the 100+ an option?I am presently restoring my 87 just the way it left Callaway so only options that were available for 87 are possible.ALSO,you will love the interior & bar. After 12 years mine is as good as new with that great Connelly leather aroma.Good Luck. :upthumbs

I believe that if you up grade any Callaway with Callaway parts, it won't take away from the value, infact it may even help, especially if it's all documented.

Callaway 100+

Callaway offered that upgrade to the other years . I believe there was 1 1987 2 1988 1 1989 1 1990 2 1991 I believe there may be a couple more out there. I do not think it would hurt the value only add to it . I do not know when the 100+ kit became available but I know that when my car was ordered it was available that was in December of 1988

I agree 110% with that statement - Wonderbar, 100+, AeroBody, Wheels & Tires, Floor Mats, or even a shifter knob, If it is FROM Callaway Cars and has doccumentation, it adds value no matter what year the car is, and when the upgrades were done :cool

Put me down as interested in the 100+ kit. I'm hoping that there will be actual dyno numbers available once they've completed the kit and of course pricing...

I would happily volunteer my car for R&D provided i got a HUGE price break on the kit :L :L :L My car is certainly no stranger to having run on the rollers :D

100+ Project developement car 1989 #016

Hey Josh I have already volunteered my car for the product developement work. The least I could do for Callaway being that I am always asking for the 100+ upgrade. I am relentless Just ask Mike Zoner! LOL

I think I'm too far along on my 87 to change direction.Looks like I might have to get me another one for the 100+. :upthumbs

I'd up grade to 88 and newer turbos.

Confused

What does the 100+ consist of?For $12,000+/- it better be more than a manifold change.

Tony, it is a package consisting of the following:

The Callaway "100 Plus" (Horsepower) option content is a rare & powerful option that was only installed on a select few B2K's.
This Option added 100 horsepower to the already amazing power ratings they left Old Lyme with.
The option consisted of a wide range of enhancements which all worked as a system to upgrade the entire engine and the results speak for themselves :)

Option content is as follows:

*Intake Manifold
(custom intake/plenum assembly)
*Fuel Rails
(high flow/high capacity rails)
*Fuel Pressure Regulator
(modified reg. for the addl. volume)
*Fuel Rail Tubing
(SS tubing)
*Throttle Body
(ported 52mm TB)
*Cylinder Heads
(custom high flow cyl. heads)
*Cam Shaft
(Cam shaft ground to Callaway specific specs)
*EGR Block off plate
*ECM Chip
(Custom calibrated mem cal. )

****************These parts were sold for specific use as a package - for fitment and technical questions, please contact Callaway Cars for additional information.***************

i thought the bottom end of the motor was beefed up as well? ie getting a strong forged connecting rod in there.
