I got this 1962 Corvette RestoMod while at Old Town, Kissimmee Florida last week. It was completed several years ago but only has 600 miles.
Crate 350 w/ 350 HP, TH 700 auto trans. Everything underneath is either powdercoated or ceramic coated. Digital Dash. Airconditioning and tilt wheel.

Very sweet....Your getting quite a collection there.:w

Great Color

very nice.......:beer

Thanks for the positive comments. :w
I did sell the Inca Silver/white 1959 Corvette. - Not enough room in the garage or enough extra cash in the checkbook.
Roger

Very nice, the 62 is what got me started.

Roger:

Very nice looking car. Do you have any particulars on the engine? It looks like a Ram Jet 350 with a customized intake plenum.

Charles

Of course I love the color and I especially like the silver interior with the red exterior. Is the red Roman Red that was the color offered in '62? The interiors did not come in silver until 1963; does it have a convertible top too? I agree with Tom, nice collection.
Barrett

Charles, I included a chart with the various specs. The engine is a GM Ramjet 350 crate engine with 350 hp, 400 ft. lbs torque. Hyd roller cam .431/451 lift.
The interior is stock 62 Fawn Beige with custom color carpet.
Dakota digital dash, tilt wheel and rack and pinion steering.
She also has a beige convertible top. :w

Oh, too bad the 59 was sweet.....but the 62 is a very good trade off. :cool!:

Guess I am now oficially color blind calling the beige interior silver. Thanks for correcting me. While the carpets are definitely beige, I thought the seats were silver. Still, the car is awesome with whatever color interior goes with it. Do you plan to remove the hard top during the summer months or keep it on all the time? I rarely take the top off my 02 coupe, but I like to drop the top on my 08 convertible whenever I get the chance.
Barrett

Barrett - the way the light hits the seats they do look more silver than fawn beige in some photos.
Speaking of photos, I located some old photos of the car before I became the current owner.
One shows her with different mag wheels and the other shows the beige top.
Yes, I plan on taking the top off, but I know it takes some time. I guess we will see how things go. :w

I am glad they changed the wheels.....the old ones are not my cup of tea.....

So many resto mods are over done and loose the original character of the car that we love them for. I really like this one.:upthumbs

Tom

One thing that I am looking into changing is taking out the AM/FM Cassette radio and updating to one that will be IPod compatible.
I don't know if I even have any cassette tapes anymore. :w

Andy:

I have an old Akai reel to reel tape recorder that can record on 8 track tapes. Haven't used it in quite a while, but it did work a few years ago.

What's the story on your Vietnam Veteran's club patch. Is that a real club or something you just created for an avatar? If the Vietnam Vettes Corvette Club does not really exist perhaps we should start one. I bought my first Corvette after returning from my first tour in Vietnam in '68, U.S. Navy, NMCB 5 (Seabees).
