Ganey -- HE268H is smog legal & max. for stock valve springs. When you do the heads you could go to 1.6 roller tip (all that's needed) rockers. The XE262 is similiar w/ more ex. duration, another possibility, new valve springs needed

I plan on keeping the stock valve springs for the time being, but Im not worried about it being smog legal.
Would the HE268H still be the right choice for me?

Maybe I missed it... but who makes this cam?

I have looked into the COMP CAMS HE 268 H but I plan on running a 100-125 shot of nitrous on occasion.
I noticed that COMP CAMS has a cam designed for nitrous use - PN NX 268 H-13 specs:
* Advertised duration: 268 intake/282 exhaust
* Duration at .050 in.: 224 intake/236 exhaust
* Gross valve lift: .477 in. intake/.490 in. exhaust
* Lobe separation: 113 degrees
* RPM range: 2,000-6,200
* For Street Machines with 125 plus HP nitrous kit

What do you guys think?

I would like a street, sometimes strip setup.
Idle is important.

Is the HE 268 H safe for nitrous applications???
