Does anyone know if a Bose system from a 2004 C5 will fit in a 1986 C4? The head unit is the big question, will if fit into the same dash opening as the Bose head unit in the C4 without any modifications? 
I'm sure some fabricating will be required for the speakers and wiring/connections.
The Bose system in my 86 is kaput and I have a chance to buy a Bose system from an 04 that also has a CD player.
I'm not necessarily a purest and changing out the system is on my punchlist so I have read the numerous articles on CAC of the pros/cons of staying original vs. going aftermarket. I think this solution will be somewhere in the middle (if it will work).
