My 1989 electronic climate control, the heater works sometime
airconditioning works fine just no heat, then out of blue it works.
thermostat is new. If I remove the neg cable from battery for 30 min it will work until I change to cool then I cant get the heat back very frustrating Help, im cold.

Mine was giving me trouble too where it worked sometimes and not others.
I took the climate control box out and took it apart. There are a couple of connectors inside that can oxidize over time. Just go to Radio Shack and get some contact cleaner and spray it on.
This helped mine, might for you too?

I do believe the answer is in this forum and hopefully the same person that helped us will see your message.

Generally speaking you have to remove the console to access the electronic board (not as scary as it sounds), then just give it a good, gentle clean.

Use the search engine, the answer should turn up. It worked for us and saved a ton of money 'cause the "repair shop" had all sorts of grandiose (and expensive) ideas on how to fix this.

Good luck.
