Before anyone asks, my answer was NO!!!!!!, HE11 NO!!!!!!!

I was asked (again) about selling the one Callaway and while talking to another (Callaway) owner, he confirmed he gets the same question all the time too...

FWIW, the offer was Cash $$$ and a Z06 - No thanks ;)

What would you have done??????

(offer was to trade the Ruby SNAT for 2003 Gigliotti 7.0L Z06)

I would have done the same thing:m

OK who's the wise guy? An infidel has infiltrated us. :mad

Of course, I'm sure you'd get a different poll result by posting this in a C5 forum. :(

Heck, I might go BUY a Z06 just to swap for the Callaway if I could find the guy who voted to "swap for the Z06"!!! :cool

I could have bought a brand new 03 Z06 with what I paid for my 91 TT a few years a go. And I'd be willing to bet that I can get what I paid for my car still today. By now that same Z06 would've lost at least 10k, and it aint done dropping yet.

my question is "Why would anyone sell a callaway?" unless it is for financial gain or a turn for the worst for your personal finances.

this is one of 2 corvettes i really want! an 89 TT and a 90-92 ZR1. hopefully one day i can have atleast 1 if not both :D

I liked the idea of buying a Z06 to TRADE for a Callaway ;LOL

I like the idea of buying a Z06 to COMPLEMENT the Callaway--oh wait, that's what I did! :) :)

I have an 88TT and a 2003 Z06. The Z06 has more performance off the line and is a better car in terms of overall handling. The Callaway is incredibly exciting when the boost is up and you are pulling G's. The sound the Callaway makes is unmistakeable as well. Both have their place but the B2K is very special.

You guys have the best of both worlds - A Callaway Twin Turbo and a Z06 for more "everyday" use (relatively speaking)

Enjoy them both :beer
I agree! If one of the poll questions was, "keep the Callaway and get a Z06" I would have changed my vote! A friend's father has a Z06, and although I havn't gotten in good enough to DRIVE it, I have ridden in it and WHEW was it impressive! Sometimes I think that the passenger seat can be even more stunning because you don't know what's coming next!

Now I know I am a bit extreme, but there is no way that I would trade a callaway for a Zo6 unless it was a business deal to get rid of the Z06 for more than I could get for the callaway and buy another callaway or ZR1. The ZO6 is a finanical time bomb as its too new.. Look at the value of the first year already, and I dont love the car enough to throw money away on it like that and its definitly a major step backwards from a car like a ZR1, no matter how good it runs..... I have a choice and my choice is that I would rather drive my ford cop car over a Zo6 or any C5 for that matter and thats a fact... Vettes are toys to me not transportation and there are so many better driving cars for getting around town.. If I want to play with my toys the C4 just has more toy to them than any C5....

The other reason is that there is literally a ZO6 at almost every intersection in dallas. Other people in dallas can tell you the same thing... The Zo6 is the 5.0 of the Mellennium everyone has one.. most have the "factory" vortex rammer and the factory "corsa" on them too, just as every 5.0 has "factory" flowmasters.... Absolutly no originality..... but the cars are nice and run pretty good... Just not for me.

...as I look back at this thread, my answer wouldn't have changed - in fact, I am glad I kept it, as C5 Z06 prices have certainly dropped w/ the new C6's out now :cool

Any more votes??

Keep the Callaway 26 74.29%

SURE....

In trade for a Speedster, SuperSpeedster or a C12 Speedster - why not.
