Thanks Rich. Coming from you I consider that high praise. :)

I wonder how long a trip you could take before putting the mufflers back on.

How's this story? I drove to my first Canadian Council of Corvette Clubs convention in 1977....a five hour trip.....just like that. Open headers, with no side tubes.

I wish you could have seen the reaction of the other drivers along the way. ;LOL

I was numb for the next 24-hours. :crazy (some say I still am ;) )

I always wondered what the cause was and now we know! :L

By the way, better get a bigger gas tank - you'll need it..... :D

I've had a few eMails asking for the name of the song and the group in the pre-launch video.

Marshall Tucker Band -- Can't You See

CLICK for the full thing. :D

(In many ways the song makes me think of my "other" woman - 67HEAVEN ;) )

Video was great but soooooooo much better in person! It's a shame more of you couldn't make it because you couldn't have asked for a friendlier group of people to be with. It was pleasure for us to meet Craig Sr and Courtney and Mac, especially with the long distance they had to come. It was nice to see Ron and Kirt, the painter and body experts, who made it from their extremely busy schedules. Thanks again for the invite to the cottage and dinner, the company was fantastic. As always it goes too fast.
Congrats of the fire up, now to get the few other things done and put a few miles on it before the snow flies! Sounds and looks great. It truly is one of a kind. Best of all it's nice to see your dream coming together after all these years.

Rumble in Toronto!!!!!! That thing sure can blow the leaves off your driveway!!;LOL Sounds Great man. Although I don't know if I would have let Curly do the Start Up!!!! (Cheap Shot Mac, Sorry!!)

Randy:upthumbs

67, That was really cool!! Car looks & sounds awesome!! Congrats on the near completion of an outstanding Corvette.

:buAwesome. Wish I could have been there.

Hey Vette-dude you don't realize how right you are about blowing the leaves off the driveway.

The only problem was it blew them and everything else in the way right into the nice clean garage, just ask Fuelie he was sweeping them up.

well Bob, now how do you feel knowing just how many people were really watching your progress on the 67Heaven project and how interested so many people are.
Just how glad are you NOW that on Sat the car actually started instead of just going "click"? ;LOL

just goes to show you that when you have a major project like yours underway you really get a lot of people interested in it
:_rock :w :cool

Imagine if everybody showed up for the "Fire in the hole" and at the cottage for dinner and stayed the night!;LOL. What an a...kickin your bar would have taken then! You wouldn't be able to afford the gas to run around the block after that bar bill!!!;) :upthumbs Later

Bob, simply fabulous! There's nothing like "first-fire", regardless how many of them you've done - a tribute to your patience, persistence, and craftsmanship :) . You should be very proud, and it sounds like you had a great gathering to witness the event!

I drove my Grand Sport for two years with 4" open (NO baffles) sidepipes, never got a ticket - local gendarmes pulled me over once, and after looking over the car, said "don't get on it around town" :( , and I didn't; outside of town, however, was another matter :D .

I'm drained. Although there are finishing touches to get done to the car, not this evening.

I'm determined to lose the 15 pounds I've put on over the last year. This weight jump came from dropping exercise to devote as much time as possible to the project, and I feel crappy.

So, it's back to a walking program. I'll see if Z28Canuck (he's a neighbour) will join me.

Thank you, John. Get that beautiful Grand Sport back and we'll do the Woodward thing side-by-side......loud and proud! :D
