I'm new and this is my first post and Vette.
I purchased a 98 with the headlight gear problems.
After researching the forum, I purchased a brass
Gear. I removed the 3 screws and cover
then gear and failed to notice in what order the 2 white bushings
and metal shims were in. I guessed, reassembled and reinstalled
.....of course the motor runs but does not close or open my headlight?

BTW it is the metal body with 3 screws cover and gasket.
I would appreciate advice?

If I remember correctly the white bushings were one on each side of the gear, the metal shims you were supposed the make note of when disassembled, you would probably be fine just splitting them in half. Are you sure that the motor is connected to the headlight assembly arm?
