I haven't had it out on the street yet, but I think I can live with the sound level now, and I hope most cops can too. :L

It's never as easy as it first appears, but the new sound chambers are in place, and I'm sore and tired.

Now, to get the ECU/ECM thing under control... :eyerole

Ken do you think those are going to get REAL hot? Just a curious though Im scared its going to rub on your Side EX molding! If not Cool, Good job Bud!

Hey BRO , either way, hope all is ready for the run to the east.

Hell, and to think I was stressed about R&Ring the intake and Q-jet on the DoG !!!! I shall b***h no more.

That's the plan. I don't want to put myself in the same position I was in last year. I hope the truck lives up to expectations and doesn't cause me any trouble. :L

Truckin !!

Whatever it takes...it's time for a road trip !!! :_rock

Got the DoG outa the shop today and it's cruise time again.

Hey ken, I might have missed them, but did you ever post any photos of your motor completed in the car, as it is now? I was following the thread since its inception and I don't recall seeing any.

just curious. consider me a fan.

Yeah, you gotta back up a few pages. I have 25 posts per page displayed on my computer and they pictures are on page 11. ;)

I'm still trying to get the bugs ironed-out; the truck/trailer diversion didn't help matters much. :eyerole

Ken, Do you have any plans to modify the the air intake? IMO, the stock ribbed air duct looks a little under-powered with all the motor behind it.

:grinsanta (nobody ever uses the grinning santa) I've been up and on the computer to long.:Silly

When I get it ready for some bonzai runs, I'll be looking into that area. ;)

Ken

what are the chances of a nice trade for that motor, I have a wonderful grease ladden crossfire motor with only 140,000 miles on it its yours if ya wanna trade LOL at any rate car and everything else looks great

ken

maybe when we get our vette done we'll take a drive down to see your awsome looking vette and maybe even see how it runs against a true 16 second car LOL

also ken heres a question Im sure you can answer on the camaro radiator I put in the vette it has a 3/4 inch outlet right below the radiator cap is this a heater core return line, and which hose would I connect to it from my heater core the one that comes from the water pump or the one on the intake manifold

I'm sorry to say that you were wrong, I can't answer that question. :o

I'd like to get together some day. You know that the next West Coast Corvette Challenge event takes place at Carlsbad Raceway on July 28 don't you? Hope to see you there. :upthumbs

Westies

Oh to live on the sunny side of the...country. Sigh.:CAC
BTW--when is the next CAC get together in my part of the world? Anything around Bowling Green? We went last weekend and I've never seen so many vettes. It was a wonderful thing.

Very Cool!

I'll be there with the vette purrrrrin! Ribs and Chicken at Smokey Bones. Mmmmmmmm!

I don't believe this...

When I had the car at the shop a few weeks ago and on a scanning device, the TSP position was indicated as .60v. I had no reason to doubt this.

Terry at TPiS told me to try it at around that (.64) voltage. Today I attached the TPS sensor "testing tool" I got from MAD a while back, and lo and behold what does my meter read but .685v. The maximum it should be set according to Terry is .65, which is the approximate voltage I was seeking to determine if it would help my Code 33 problem. We were going to trick the ECM into thinking the throttle plates were open more than they actually were opening, thinking that might help.

I set it at approximately .635. It warms up ok, but the traffic around here today is terrible because of the inlanders coming to the beach for the holiday, so I didn't get it out to try it. I'll take it to Ruby's tomorrow and see if it goes into "limp home" in those few miles there and back. It did in the past. :(

As for the meter-reading discrepancy, I don't know what to say. Should I be embarrassed? Angry? I know I'm confused. :confused :L

If I didn't love it though, I wouldn't be doing it. :D

Kind of strange that it "moved" since the last measurement.

Don't you just love working out the little bugs?????

Do you have a scanner Ken?

If so, one of the things to check is your total advance curve on the timing. I also see where TPiS has been offering a dumbed down ESC module to help eliminate the computer retarding the timing when it hears false noises that are not from spark knock,,,ie., roller rockers, headers, tight motor mounts, etc.

You need to check that out. I am going to do that trick on the 90 vette. I am positive from time to time it hears the throw out bearing/input shaft bouncing around without the dual mass flywheel and kicks the timing back when I am launching the car (does it onces in a blue moon).
