I have a beautiful 'set' of closed chamber aluminum heads. One is GM part # 3904392 the other is 3919842. They are both date stamped 1967. These heads are glass beaded and have 1 piece Manley stainless steel valves w/ three angle valve job and teflon perfect seals. New Comp. Cams valve springs with H.D. titanium valve retainers and 10 degree locks. also have hardended spring seats inserts. Fresh ready to go make some noise! I did a bit of research on the part numbers and it seems the differance was # 3904392 was a 1967 part with 1.72 Exhaust while 3919842 was 68-69, (even thou it's dated on the head 8-29-67)with 1.84 Exhaust. I don't have any way to measure the exhaust valves, but they both look the same size, and knowing the shop that assembled them for me I'm pretty sure that they are!

Any Ideas as to what they might be worth?

I may be interested in those heads.

I'll have Pictures later tonight

I'm going to take a few photos...I hope tonight. If anyone would like to see um give me your e-mail address. Like I said in my eariler post, I'm not 100% sure I want to sell um....but if someone really 'needs' them, who knows!

See my first post in this thread for a look!

If they are a reasonable price, then I'll be interested.

I don't really 'need' them and since you not 100% sure if you'll sell, something tells me the price will be out of this world. I won't be a buyer for a higher than should be price.

With what I've just said I may not be allowed the opportunity to buy them, but that's what I think when someone makes those remarks.

Like I said I'm not sure as to the true value myself. If they were just aluminum heads for a 502 crate motor they have a fair market price that would be somewhat less then a set of classic Chevy OEM castings for a 1967 L-88. Am I wrong in think this? I just read that a 67 L-88 sold for like $600,000.00 at auction. How much would it have been worth if it had steel heads or maybe some aftermarket bolt ons. That being said it seems a waste of these to go onto something other then a proper restoration car. I'm sure Jegs has alum. heads, brand new for less then I have invested anyway. Please don't take it wrong cause I understand your point. The question really is what is a "higher then should be price?"

Peace John
